Short biography
I was born in 1982 in Lannion, a small city in Brittany. I spent most of my childhood in La Terrasse, 25 km from Grenoble, in the Grésivaudan valley. My mother was a school teacher; my father was both a researcher in computer science at IMAG and a teacher at the Université Joseph Fourier. I currently live in Basel, Switzerland.
I obtained an engineering degree and an MSc in Electrical Engineering in 2005, then a PhD in Systems and Control Theory in 2008, all from the Grenoble Institute of Technology. During my PhD I spent nearly a year at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. After my PhD I joined the ACCESS Linnaeus Centre at KTH Stockholm for a two-year research associate position. From 2012 to 2017 I was a research associate at ETH Zürich's Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering, working on theoretical problems arising from systems and synthetic biology. I later returned to ETH as a Senior Scientist (2020 to 2022), with industry stints at Omya as a data scientist and at Arcondis as a senior data-science consultant. On the side, I am involved in start-ups applying my expertise to GreenTech and CleanTech for a hopefully better future.
My research interests broadly cover systems and control theory and adjacent mathematical fields, with applications to complex systems such as communication and biological networks. More details are on the research page.
